Emilio sez:

This is news:
First of all, sorry about the delay. I blame President's Day for messing up my tracking of days, because I thought Thursday was Wednesday and my slacking off was therefore covered by the buffer I had. By the time I realized this, I was out of town and couldn't fix it.

So, here's the strip which was supposed to be last Thursday. I'm going to shoot for an extra update on Saturday to compensate for the lack of one last Friday. The dropdown has also been updated.

Moving on to stuff about the strip:
You may notice that Miles' glasses have been redesigned yet again. The old rectangular design just felt too bulky. I think Miles really would prefer something a bit more elegant but every bit as funtional. I have a pair of sunglasses very similar to what you see here, so I spent a day sketching them and making sure the real ones worked for what the fictional ones should. While we're on the subject of panel 2, I like Julia's imagination of Miles holding a card. It makes him look more like a villain in control, which suits how Julia should see him. If I put up a character bios page or something similar, I'm using that for his image.

This page is actually confirmation that the area's name is Hopeful Springs, not just the name of the mall. I've been debating if I should do that or not, but I can't really think up a name I like better, so I'm sticking with it. On other odd landmarks, this page is the fifty-first page of the comic (not including fillers). This means that with my current settings in Firefox I can't archive binge through Whiplash (excluding fillers) and use the back button to go all the way back through them.

Oh, and for the record, this is actually taking place at roughly the same time as the previous arc. So you will see one or two references as if they're occurring at the same time (part of why I chose this title). In retrospect, this arc should have been first. I hadn't written it yet, so it wasn't.
