Emilio sez:

Now, after sketching, tracing, scanning, and coloring this comic, I notice that Miles' suit is missing its "stars." Gaaaah!

Okay, real production notes, if you're that interested: the title of this song is from Styx's song Cold War from their album Kilroy was Here, which is probably better known for the song Mr. Roboto. I was doing the strip title while listening to the song, and the line "You talk, talk and you get so intense that you almost make sense" popped up. It seemed to fit this strip, so I rolled with it.

Kyle's little monolouge in panel 1 lacked its last sentence in the script. However, I felt that people may wonder why the za the last panel was so dark, so there you go. I have this feeling that it's not a very effective explanation.

The "no hammerspace" rule I imposed on myself prevented Kyle from pulling out a microphone and randomly talking into it. I was considering having him pull out a candy bar and start talking into that (like Link in Hairspray), because that would be reasonable to be in his pocket. However, I think the clenched fist works just fine. Incidentally, I really like the way Kyle's face is done in panel 4. It transferred really well from the sketch to the final. The dialouge is also among my perosnal favorite lines thus far.

The effect in panel 3 actually took two layers (nearly) all to itself. Yep. Two layers. One for the purple radial gradient in front of kyle and one for the "lightning" behind him. Heck, I figured Core Tech Manufacturing calls it the Lilac Ocarina for a reason. If you've played NetHack or read certain articles in TV Tropes, you may appreciate the stuff in the background. If not, you're probably thinking I'm really throwing out some weird stuff here.

Good grief, I've spent a full twenty-four minutes writing comments here! Good night, I'm going to get some sleep.
