Emilio sez:
What? She isn't. I'm not lying. Ignore the thing on her belt. The backstory behind this end-of-arc filler: this is actually my favorite minor character. Problem is, she shouldn't be popping up until the seventh story arc. Despite the fact that the next arc will be pretty darn short, it's still a long wait. So I sketched her, and eventually turned that into... this. Oh, and I apparently still need to work on my gender disambiguation. I did get asked if she was a guy (apparently something to do with the hips). ...And one last interesting note about her? I considered giving her heterochromia. If you know what that means, look at the filler again and laugh at why it would be pointless. If not, well, look it up, look at the filler again, and groan. And now, for something completely different: I said in this comic's commentary that there was somthing important about Miles' EMP that needed to be adressed, so I'm going to stick this in here: You may notice that the brand of the thing was CORE™. Problem is, after some creative use of Google, I found out that there's already a company of that name. They're apparently an architecture firm based in Washington, D.C. So, I've changed the name of the fictional company to Core Technology Manufacturing. Yep. The "TM" part now comes from "Technology Manufacturing." Aaaaannnndddd I'm going to try to make the "TM" in any time it appears in the comic not look like the trademark symbol. You can see that I did that here (subscript instead of superscript) although I'm going to try something different next time. So, disclaimers: I am not affiliated with the real-life CORE™. Any similarities of any companies, people, brands, logos, and other stuff in my comic is a coincidence unless otherwise noted. |
